Issam earned a BA in Business Administration from Bethlehem University in Palestine, an MBA from Lewis University, and a Ph.D. in International Economic Development from the University of Southern Mississippi. Issam joined DeVry University in 2015 and is currently teaching and designing economics and international relations courses.
Issam has more than 10 years of experience in corporate accounting, finance, and financial systems development. He has participated in research projects focusing on the impact of different economic policies and external shocks on various communities locally and internationally. In addition to his professional career, Issam served as a volunteer through several community-based organizations to assist refugees who arrived from several war-torn countries and who were resettling in the Chicago area.
