Jeannine D’Addario is the chief marketing officer for DeVry University, responsible for branding, paid media, social media and strategic planning. She serves as the strategic voice of the DeVry brand and the leader of its growth strategies. She is a thought leader who champions students, understands their needs and preferences, evaluates how well organizational resources are aligned to meet their needs and influences how the organization needs to evolve to achieve the University’s growth objectives.
An experienced chief marketing and communications officer, D’Addario has a proven history of creating and empowering strategic marketing efforts and developing brand identities based on insights and data. She has extensive experience leading accelerated transformations and marketing strategies as the CMO for Whole Foods, Guitar Center, Stanford Medicine at Stanford University and as VP Marketing for the Walt Disney Company. She has also led large-scale marketing initiatives within her consulting work with clients including the LA Dodgers, Applebee's, Target and NBC Universal.
D'Addario has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout her tenured career. Most notably, in 2022, the CMO Club recognized D’Addario with the CMO Creativity & Storytelling Award. She was named among the Most Influential Marketers in 2019 by the Los Angeles Business Journal, as well as by LA Magazine as one of the Executives to Watch in 2018 and among the Top 100 CMOs that same year by the CMO Exchange. D’Addario is a founding member of Chief, a private network designed specifically for women in leadership roles from rising level VPs to CEOs. D’Addario is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, the ANA and the CMO Council.
D'Addario earned a bachelor’s degree in communications, film, TV & media studies from San Francisco State University, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
