Lisle, Ill. – Feb. 20, 2024 – DeVry University announces the launch of the Student Financial Transparency Initiative as part of its steadfast commitment to accountability, student service and career readiness.
"Student service has been at the core of this institution," said Agnam Memeti, DeVry University's chief enrollment and student support officer. "College access and affordability have never been more important, and a key component is helping prospective and current students navigate the financial aid process by providing clear, transparent and unmatched support through their academic journey."
DeVry’s mission is to help close society’s opportunity gap by preparing learners to thrive in careers shaped by continuous technological change. To that end, the Student Financial Transparency Initiative comprises the foundational pillars on which DeVry is rooted. These principles embody the university’s commitment to do right by students in every regard. The following are some actions that DeVry has implemented:
· In a sector where tuition and fees have been on a mostly upward trend over the past 20 years, DeVry has frozen tuition rates for undergraduate and graduate programs through the 2023-24 academic year.
· The university offers numerous institutional scholarships, grants and tuition savings to help make higher education more accessible, equitable and affordable. DeVry has awarded more than $71.1 million in student financial assistance during the 2022-23 academic year.[1]
· Student advisors work with every student to help them develop and refine a personal college financial plan.
· DeVry promotes responsible borrowing by giving students clear visibility into their upcoming charges and encourages students to minimize borrowing and limit unnecessary financial burden.
· DeVry maximizes return on student investment by helping learners engage with resources to support their academic journey, coursework success, and persistence.
“We owe it to our students to adhere to high standards of excellence and work tirelessly to exceed our own standards again and again,” added Memeti.
