Electrical Engineering Technician
Working under an electrical engineer, you may assist with all aspects of the design, development and testing of electrical control systems and equipment. Both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills are often required, depending on the nature of the position.
Field Service Technician
Field service technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing equipment. You may spend much of your time on the road, visiting the sites where the equipment is located in order to perform on-site tasks.
Engineering Technician (General)
A general engineering technologist is qualified to solve many kinds of challenges across different types of engineering disciplines. Under the guidance of a specialized engineer, you might work in an area such as product design, technical operations or field engineering in virtually any industry.
Manufacturing Engineering Technician / Industrial Engineering Technician
Apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production, usually under the direction of engineering staff. May perform time and motion studies on worker operations in a variety of industries for purposes such as establishing standard production rates or improving efficiency.
Electro-Mechanical / Mechatronics Technicians
Operate, test, maintain, or adjust unmanned, automated, servomechanical, or electromechanical equipment. May operate unmanned submarines, aircraft, or other equipment to observe or record visual information at sites such as oil rigs, crop fields, buildings, or for similar infrastructure, deep ocean exploration, or hazardous waste removal. May assist engineers in testing and designing robotics equipment.

Machine learning and design techniques is a discipline of engineering that focuses on enabling machine learning through various design applications. This ultimately results in products that are capable of integrating with AI to continuously improve themselves and predict outcomes that are relevant to their performance.
In general, a degree may be a helpful thing to have when thinking about pursuing a career that deals with machine learning. Because working with machine learning is a more advanced, technology-focused career path, many of the jobs in the field may require a degree in a technology discipline. Keep in mind that minimum job requirements will vary from employer to employer.
