Benefits Coordinator
Benefits coordinators help employees understand the various benefits options that their company offers. They also manage the application of said benefits by verifying insurance billing, assisting in enrollment and managing employee records databases. At smaller companies, the duties of a benefits coordinator may be covered by a more general HR manager position.
Human Resources Generalist (HR Generalist)
An HR generalist's job duties may vary from company to company, but they typically run the day-to-day functions of human resources departments. They may be involved in hiring and interviews and often play a role in the enforcement of company policy.
Human Resources Assistant (HR Assistant)
An HR assistant works alongside a human resources manager or generalist to help with the administrative work of their job.
Workforce Services Representative (WSR)
Workforce services representatives fit into the broad field of human resources professionals. They typically perform similar job duties to an HR generalist, such as hiring, interviewing and job placement within an organization.

Yes! At DeVry, our Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management can be earned online. This can be an excellent option for people who are looking to add a credential to their resume but have other ongoing commitments, such as full-time work or raising a family, that would make it difficult to attend onsite classes. Best of all, the courses you take within the online HR certificate program, are the same as in our on-site program. There is no difference between the certificate that you can earn from an onsite or online human resources certificate program.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for human resources specialists is expected to grow on a national level by 8% between 2021 and 2031 and is anticipated to result in the addition of 70,200 jobs.2 If you have an interest in helping businesses and employees meet their goals by working together, then a career in HR could be a good fit for you.

A graduate certificate and a master's degree are both graduate level credentials, but they are not the same. For instance, a graduate certificate in human resources may take, on average, less time to earn than a master's degree in human resources. At DeVry, we offer stackable degree options that enable you to leverage credits earned through a graduate certificate program toward a master's degree in a related field, should you choose to continue your education at DeVry in the future.1
While these credentials are distinct from one another, both may help you learn valuable skills in your field.
