IEEE

Become an IEEE Student Member to learn, interact, collaborate and innovate with a vast community of technology and engineering professionals. Network with peers and mentor future cyber security professionals while staying up to date on current cyber security developments.

Cyber Security Competitions

Coached by DeVry Faculty, our student teams compete twice a year in the National Cyber League (NCL) Games. This inclusive, learning-centered cyber security competition allows participants to demonstrate their skills in common workplace challenges, such as identifying hackers in forensic data, penetration testing, auditing vulnerable websites and recovering from ransomware attacks.

Future Cyber Defenders Scholars Program

While local growth will vary based on location, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects cyber security jobs to grow 33% on a national level between 2023 and 2033.1 Although this projection is not specific to DeVry University graduates and may include earners at all stages of their career (not only entry level), tech-savvy professionals will be needed to fill the void. Take your ambition to the next level with a scholars program designed to help you build your network, boost your skills and pursue the career you want.

Did you know that about 27% of today’s STEM roles are held by females?2 We think it’s time to change that. Our WOMEN+TECH Scholars ProgramTM was uniquely designed to help women find their place in the tech industry.

NextGen Hispanic Scholars Program


While Hispanic workers make up 17% of the U.S. workforce, they represent just 8-9% of those working in STEM careers.3 Our NextGen Hispanic Scholars Program aims to close the digital skills divide by equipping Hispanic students with the knowledge they need to make a difference in the workplace of tomorrow.

You don’t need to wait until graduation to start preparing to pursue your professional goals. Career services resources for students and alumni – such as certified career coaches and resume writers4, networking opportunities and internship and job leads – are included in the cost of your tuition and accessible the moment you begin your first course.

Students who apply, qualify and are selected may also have the opportunity to participate in a paid CompTIA Apprenticeship with one of our employer partners.5
